My name is Dongting Cai, and I am currently a senior student at the University of Minnesota, Morris, a small public liberal arts college (LAC).
I'm undertaking a challenging but rewarding journey, pursuing a double major in Communication, Media and Rhetoric, and Computer Science, and enhancing my understanding with a double minor in Data Science and Statistics. Additionally, I am a participant in the Morris Honors Program, a rich learning experience that fosters intellectual growth across diverse disciplines.
I have a burgeoning interest in the fascinating convergence of Computational Communication (Computational Social Science). Throughout my undergraduate studies, I have begun to delve into the realm of data-driven methodologies, seeking to improve our understanding of social and communication phenomena. I'm passionate about harnessing cutting-edge tools to interpret, understand, and visualize complex data in a bid to facilitate future advancements that synergize theory with practical expertise.
While I am early in my academic journey, I am eager and excited about the possibilities ahead. I strive to continually learn and grow, applying the knowledge I gain to contribute to my field of study.
